Beam Suntory's 'Together for Good' Initiative Drives Employee Volunteering, Tree Plantation, and Community Safety Efforts Across India

The 'Together for Good' initiative is an annual day of service that fosters employee volunteering across India, with multiple sessions held throughout the year, completing over 700 volunteering hours in the past year. At Beam Suntory, we are led by our ‘Growing For Good’ vision that guides us to demonstrate a commitment to social responsibility and sustainability. Our global initiatives such as ‘One Suntory Walk’ and ‘Together for Good’ encourage us to come together and give us various opportunities to give back to the society through charity walks, and participation in a wide range of volunteer activities and donate to causes that are close to our heart. Last year, Beam Suntory initiated two tree plantation drives in Mumbai and Goa and planted over 12,000 trees, which is reflective of how passionately we have embraced our ‘Growing For Good’ vision. As part of our commitment to community safety, we are also working in Behror to provide training to locals and police administration for a collaborative community policing initiative, with a particular focus on safeguarding women and children.

Furthering our global commitment to social responsibility, our teams undertook Water Shore Cleaning in several states, including Mumbai and Maharashtra, and collected over 16 tonnes of waste. In addition to 'Together for Good', Beam Suntory employees are encouraged to give back in ways most meaningful to them, with two paid volunteer days each year through the Beam Suntory Cares program.
