Sarah leads our talent strategy, compensation and benefits, culture, learning capability and employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, organizational development and corporate communications. Sarah has been with Suntory Group since 2004, starting out with Frucor Suntory, Suntory's beverage arm in Oceania. At Frucor Suntory, Sarah served as Chief People and Communications Officer and then moved to Suntory Beverage & Food as Deputy Chief Operating Officer Global HR, based in Tokyo.
In 2020, she was promoted to Suntory Holdings Chief Operating Officer Global People & Culture where she spearheaded the global talent agenda across Suntory’s companies.
In 2021, Sarah expanded her remit to serve in a hybrid Suntory and Suntory Global Spirits role as Suntory Holdings Chief Operating Officer Global People & Culture, and as Suntory Global Spirits’ Vice President HR Asia Pacific, where she was instrumental in building our talent, capability and engagement in the region.
A native of New Zealand, Sarah earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Psychology and a Master of Arts in Industrial Psychology from Massey University in Auckland.
She developed her career in consulting with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu and Sheffield Limited in Oceania before joining Frucor Suntory. Sarah lives in New York with her husband and three children.
